Paw & Present

About

The tasteful friend who already did the homework

Paw & Present exists to make shopping for a dog lover effortless — a beautifully-decided answer instead of forty open tabs.

Paw & Present is a gift guide for the people who love dogs. Not a store, not a spec-sheet review lab — a curated shortlist, sorted by who the gift is for and what it costs, so anyone can pick something that can’t go wrong without knowing a thing about dog gear.

Most gift guides are written for the person who already knows the category. Ours is written for the opposite person: you love someone who loves their dog, you want to get them something great, and you’d rather not learn what “denier” means to do it. So every guide leads with a can’t-go-wrong top pick, translates any jargon into “here’s why it makes a good gift,” and groups everything into Under $25 / Under $50 / Splurge.

Who writes it

Paw & Present is written and edited by Stephen V.. Stephen is an enthusiast who's genuinely into this — dogs, and the small pleasure of finding a gift that lands. He doesn't run a test lab and doesn't pretend to. What he does: read the real listings, compare the current options and prices, check what buyers actually report, and sort everything by who it's for and what it costs — so you can pick something great without knowing a thing about dog gear.

That’s the honest version of what we do, and we’d rather tell you that than pretend to a lab we don’t have. What we bring is the genuine, relatable work of shopping for a dog lover well — comparing the real options so you don’t have to.

How we make money

Paw & Present is reader-supported. When you buy through our links we may earn a small commission as an Amazon Associate, at no extra cost to you. That never changes which gift we recommend — if Amazon is the better buy, Amazon is the button, even when another program would pay more. You can read the details on our affiliate disclosure page, and the method behind our picks on how we pick.
